MUNTHE SS25: The concept of “planting a seed”

For Naja Munthe, Creative Director and Founder of MUNTHE, the simple act of “planting a seed” became the profound inspiration behind the brand’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection. This season, the concept of nurturing growth—both in nature and creativity—has blossomed into a stunning embodiment of the brand’s dedication to art, craftsmanship, and responsibility.

“The concept of ‘planting a seed’ embodies the essence of uncertainty, yet signifies both beginnings and endings,” says Naja. This idea fueled her vision for the upcoming season, where she sought to witness the growth of something beautiful, even without knowing the final outcome. The result is the “Pressed Flowers” print, a captivating design that stands as the cornerstone of the collection.

This print is not just a pattern but a story woven into fabric. It began with carefully selected seeds planted in Naja’s own home greenhouse. Each flower, cultivated with care, was then delicately pressed and arranged by hand to create a design that merges MUNTHE’s artistic spirit with a deep sense of responsibility.

Art is more than just inspiration for MUNTHE; it’s a core pillar that drives every aspect of the brand. For the Spring/Summer 2025 collection, this artistic passion is evident in every detail, from the colors to the intricate designs. The flowers used in the “Pressed Flowers” print were not chosen by chance; each color represents the vibrant blossoms nurtured specifically for this collection.

The palette, rich with hues of blue, light yellow, calming purples, and striking reds, brings the essence of spring and summer to life. These colors adorn a range of garments, from bomber jackets to embroidered dresses and silk shirts—each piece a testament to MUNTHE’s commitment to blending artistry with fashion.

In Spring/Summer 2025, MUNTHE celebrated its impressive 30-year anniversary. To honor this significant milestone, the brand hosted over 500 guests at the Bella Centre, a stunning venue adorned with white flowers cascading from the high ceiling. It was truly a spectacular event!
