During our first visit to Serbia, we had the pleasure of staying at The Saint Ten Hotel, ideally situated in the heart of Belgrade, within walking distance of the city’s main attractions and surrounded by charming bars, cafes, and restaurants.
We arrived late at night due to a lengthy flight delay and nearly missed our reservation at the hotel’s restaurant, L’Address. Fortunately, the hotel staff were exceptional, welcoming us warmly despite our late arrival and expressing concern that we might not make it on time. Upon entering our spacious and elegantly appointed room for a quick change before dinner, we were greeted with a bottle of champagne, fresh fruit, nuts, cookies, and chocolates. We immediately felt at home and knew we had chosen the perfect hotel for our long weekend trip.
Although it was late, dinner was excellent, featuring delicious dishes and local wine. The waiter was incredibly friendly, and we enjoyed great conversation throughout the evening.
The next morning, after a restful night in an incredibly comfortable bed, we woke up energized. We drew back the curtains to find the sun shining on a beautiful day, with temperatures reaching a pleasant 30 degrees throughout our entire stay in Belgrade. One of the joys of traveling is a good hotel breakfast, and this one did not disappoint. With a wide variety of fruits, yogurt, pastries, hot dishes, fresh juices, and excellent coffee, it was the perfect way to start our day.
After breakfast, we explored the city using the complimentary bikes provided by the hotel. Given its central location, it was easy to navigate and discover Belgrade’s charming neighbourhoods and sights. The weather was almost too perfect, but we had a fantastic time exploring. When we returned, we finally indulged in the champagne and sweets that had welcomed us upon arrival—delicious!
On the second day, we enjoyed a sumptuous in-room breakfast, where the hotel staff had meticulously attended to every detail, making everything look perfect and inviting. We spent a leisurely morning with some music, good conversation, and an abundance of breakfast treats—what more could one ask for on vacation? Afterward, we visited the stunning Temple of Saint Sava, just a five-minute walk from the hotel and a must-see when in Belgrade. Since it’s so close, it’s easy to visit early in the day.
On our last night in Belgrade, we enjoyed creative drinks and snacks at the hotel bar—a perfect way to conclude our fun and fascinating days in the city. Saint Ten Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way, and we will undoubtedly return to this unique hotel with its excellent and charming staff on our next visit to Belgrade.
