Vivienne Tam Spring/Summer 25

Vivienne Tam returned to Paris Fashion Week with her Spring/Summer 2025 collection, “La Li — Hainan Breeze,” presented under the Alexander III Bridge. Paris Jackson opened the show, spotlighting Tam’s signature blend of cultural heritage and modern design. Inspired by Hainan, “China’s Hawaii,” the collection honors the Lǐ Jǐn ethnic minority and their 3,000-year-old brocade weaving, a UNESCO-recognized tradition.

Tam’s journey to Wuzhishan, home of the Li people, helped her reinterpret ancient techniques for a contemporary, resort-ready line. The collection features geometric updates to the Li tribe’s symbolic patterns, with a color palette reflecting Hainan’s tropical hues—whites, gingers, indigos, greens, and purples. Fabrics include lace, denim, cotton, and silk.

Tam continues to merge Eastern and Western aesthetics, maintaining her long-standing influence at Paris Fashion Week. “La Li — Hainan Breeze” bridges Hainan’s cultural richness with the global fashion capitals, reaffirming Tam’s role in shaping modern fashion through a fusion of tradition and innovation.
