Copenhagen Fashion Week

It is the time of the year we all love; it is Fashion Week! After many months in lockdown, I have to say, I was missing Fashion Week even more than I usually do! This year’s format was, like everything else, a totally different experience, with social distancing recommendations and a lot of precautions. Copenhagen Fashion Week was the first physical Fashion Week after the COVID-19. Despite being a hybrid-style, it mostly felt normal, but with more focus on virtual shows and several adjustments of the physical events to follow the authorities’ recommendations

A new initiative was the digital universe called CPHFW72H, designed to stream all the season’s events in one place, so everybody from around the world could join and feel present at Copenhagen Fashion Week. The 72-hour event featured 32 shows and presentations from designers including Stine Goya, Baum und Pferdgarten and Holzweiler. The Swedish brand Whyred inaugurated the new digital universe with a beautiful presentation, and Henrik Vibskov closed the week.

Today I will show a bit of my schedule during the Fashion Week, I attended some hybrid shows (presentations + small event), a physical show with social distance and some small events and meetings. It is a whole new world and we must adapt to it!

My Fashion Week started with an appointment with Munthe, they had a Digital show, however they also scheduled meetings during different times of the day, and I made an appointment to visit their showroom, so I actually saw the collection before the show was presented.

This season, Naja Munthe focused on beautiful and playful prints, denim, as well as layering pieces like chunky knit vests and collared shirts. Special love to the embroidery pieces, particularly the dress, one of the strongest ones in the collection. The whole collection mixed playfulness with practicality. I loved it!

Here are some of my favourites from the showroom as well my own outfit, this beautiful Munthe dress. It was so hot in Copenhagen, so that was definitely the best choice!

See you at my next stop…ups, post!
