Flying Air France Business Class

 AD, Travel,

We have visited Fortaleza in Brazil, many times, yet this time was different because we had the pleasure of partnering up with Air France to make it a very special trip! We experienced the Business Class of Air France (within and outside Europe) and we had an exceptional time! Let me show you some of the many highlights of our trip.

Our first flight: Copenhagen (CPH) – Paris (CDG)

Flying Business Air France offers the best service on the market. Often when we travel, I need to make difficult choices of what I to bring, but this time I could almost bring the whole wardrobe with an extensive luggage allowance of 2 checked bags, 2 cabin bags + an accessory (per person!).

We had a very early 6am flight and that is when the SkyPriority experience (included in Air France Business Class) is so valuable. With priority check-in, baggage drop and fast-track through security, the time spent from arriving in the airport until reaching the gate is minimal.

In the flight to Paris, we had the best seats in the plane: 1A and 1C with the middle seat also assigned to us, which I conveniently could use for my bag. Early flights with Air France mean early Michelin starred breakfast, developed by the one and only chef Francois Adamski (Bocuse d’Or and Meilleur Ouvrier de France). We had the most delicious breakfast while enjoying a smooth flight in the blue and sunny skies, with a cabin crew that was so nice and friendly!

Touchdown, PARIS!

We have some hours to spend until our next (long) flight, so we went straight to relax and enjoy the Air France Lounge 2E since we were heading out of Schengen. In the Air France lounge, you have a very nice selection of drinks, delicious food, comfortable places to sit, showers, and even facial treatments by Clarins – an excellent layover experience!

Our next stop: Paris (CDG) – Fortaleza (FOR)

Air France has 3 flights to this Fortaleza every week – and for winter 24 (Oct-24 to Feb-25), they increase that to 5 weekly flights. Here, I can offer you an insider tip: Fortaleza is like the BEST place to run away from the cold European winter. Trust me!

Boarding time:

We were the first ones to board the Airbus A350 to find our seats and get ready to fly to Fortaleza! Our seats were spacious, elegant, and comfortable. The two seats are closely connected, very private from the rest of the passengers and perfect for sleeping during the flight.

– The Cabin crew was simply out of this world. So attentive to details, friendly and skilled, making sure we had the best experience possible. A couple of points that I absolutely loved about the Air France business class experience to Fortaleza:

– The seats are so comfortable – especially when turning them into beds for a nice nap, a full overnight sleep or simply getting comfy to watch a movie while enjoying a wide selection of delicious snacks that are offered throughout the entire flight.

– The entertainment options are endless. There are so many good movies and series that it became difficult to decide if I wanted to sleep or watch stuff! Haha

The 3 course menu, prepared by Michelin starred chefs. The food was delicious, and the experience was like going to a restaurant in Paris downtown!

Fortaleza (FOR) – Paris (CDG)

After a couple of great weeks enjoying the nice weather, the beach and family in Brazil, it was time to head home! We were excited to experience the excellent Air France service once again and had another smooth flight where we pampered by the excellent cabin crew. This time, we enjoyed the comfortable seats and turned them into beds, so we could have a good night’s sleep and arrive in Paris fresh and relaxed.

Again, we had some hours in between flights, so we of course went to enjoy the Air France Lounge. This time we went to the Lounge in 2F – Paris Charles De Gaulle (inside Schengen) and what a nice lounge that is! So spacious, many options of delicious snacks and food, and a very nice Clarins spa with treatments to make you relaxed when on-the-go. When you fly Business class, you automatically get the access to the lounge. It is also possible to simply purchase access to the lounge at the entrance if you feel like pure relaxation between flights, I can highly recommend the experience!

Next flight: Paris (CDG) – Copenhagen (CPH)

The final stretch of our amazing trip to Brazil was some delightful final few hours above the clouds! As we got used to in the previous flights, the cabin crew was attentive to each detail, so welcoming and nice. We felt very well taken cared and absolutely loved the whole experience. We had so much space in our comfortable seats and enjoyed a delicious lunch menu with a chocolate dessert that was almost too good to be true.

It was the perfect way to end an amazing trip. Thank you Air France for bringing us forth and back on this long journey with a lot of comfort, safety and providing the best in flight experience! We cannot wait to board the next Air France flight soon!
