After finally admitting that the summer of 2018 had ended we decided to experience Autumn in Europe and go to a place we had not visited before– our choice was the Swiss city of Zurich. As many of the cities of Switzerland, Zurich is extremely cosy with mountain and lakes as the background of the city centre. We arrived late Friday at our first stop, which was hotel Storchen, located in the middle of everything. After a great night’s sleep, we woke up all ready to explore the city, unfortunately it was raining A LOT when we woke up. Instead we decided to enjoy the breakfast before starting our adventures in the city. From being a little disappointed with the weather we quickly got in a good mood with a very delicious breakfast buffet with all the things you would like to start the day with.

After the breakfast the rain had just gotten stronger, but we would not admit defeat so we borrowed a couple of big umbrellas in the hotel and went for adventures in the city. The city is very charming with big clocks around the city, beautiful houses and small cosy streets. We ended up having a very good day in the city and as the final part we enjoyed the view of the river with a cup of tea and some delicious Swiss chocolates. Our fall weekend in Storchen was exactly what we were hoping as we turned the rain into some extra cosiness in Zurich. I can highly recommend spending some days here in a little getaway from the busy everyday life.
