Last weekend we stopped by Byoh Matcha Bar to try some of their delicious food. Maybe you already know that matcha is ground powder made from the same plant being used to make green tea. The plants are grown in the shade for about three weeks before harvest and in this process it produces theanine and caffeine. The combination of these two chemicals is considered to be responsible for the calm energy often felt when drinking matcha. So after enjoying the morning sun on the streets of Copenhagen, we were hungry and excited to enjoy a delicious lunch. The choice was a matcha roll Kita and a Matcha salad Asagao combined with the amazing refreshment of an iced matcha ginger apple juice. Everything was incredible and I super recommend enjoying a lunch there when you are in the neighbourhood!
