At Copenhagen Fashion Week, MUNTHE unveiled its Spring/Summer 2026 collection: a beautiful and poetic dialogue between nature and design, rooted in craftsmanship and conscious creation. MUNTHE’s shows are always among my most anticipated each season, and this one truly left me in awe.

Creative Director and Founder Naja Munthe drew direct inspiration from flora and fauna, working with flowers and leaves from her own garden to create the collection’s signature prints. Using plant-based dyes and the eco-printing process, botanical elements were placed onto treated fabrics, rolled, and steamed — allowing natural pigments and shapes to transfer onto the material.

“When unrolled, the result felt like unveiling a piece of artwork: rich in detail, subtle in tone, and entirely one-of-a-kind,” Munthe explains. “In a time when AI and computer-generated content are increasingly prevalent, reconnecting with ancient techniques and craftsmanship feels more valuable than ever.”

The design language of the collection flows seamlessly from this technique. Fern motifs reappear in broderie anglaise, heavy lace, and voluminous embroidery, while soft tailoring and sculptural silhouettes strike a balance between structure and movement.

Earthy neutrals, washed pastels, and sun-faded tones form the palette, elevated by embroidery, sequins, and textured fabrics. Lightweight outerwear, oversized shirting, and sport-influenced accents add versatility, while delicate sheers are paired with denim to highlight the brand’s signature contrasts.

Accessories include the Roluke, Lixia, and Lix bags, interchangeable Bluma handles, charms, keychains, and Fernis sandals, all designed to complement the elevated spring/summer wardrobe.

The show was staged in Copenhagen’s Botanical Gardens, where models walked through Staudekvarteret — a setting that mirrored the collection’s intimate relationship with plant life and natural processes.

Alongside the unveiling, MUNTHE announced it has officially become GOTS certified. The Global Organic Textile Standard is the leading worldwide certification for organic textiles, ensuring environmental integrity and fair labor practices throughout the supply chain. The Spring/Summer 2026 collection will be the first to carry the certification into stores, marking a milestone in the brand’s ongoing pursuit of transparency and sustainability.
