Dubai has slowly become our second home. Every time we pass through, whether it’s for a stopover or a longer stay, we always end up discovering something new. The city keeps reinventing itself with new hotels, new attractions, new experiences, which makes it impossible to ever get bored of coming back.
For this trip, we wanted to spend some time out on The Palm Jumeirah. If you’ve ever flown into Dubai and looked out of the window, you’ve probably spotted this man-made island shaped like a giant palm tree stretching into the sea. It’s one of Dubai’s most famous landmarks and home to some of the city’s most impressive hotels, restaurants, and private beaches. We chose to stay at Kempinski Hotel & Residences The Palm, and from the moment we arrived, we knew we’d made the right choice. The welcome was warm and thoughtful—we were greeted with chocolates, fruits, and small treats that we enjoyed throughout our stay. The rooms at Kempinski are everything you’d expect from this luxury chain: spacious, elegant, and with a calming atmosphere that immediately makes you want to settle in.
We had a very nice and spacious suite with two bedrooms with bathrooms, a large kitchen and living room. Finally, we had a huge balcony with views over the Palm itself and the skyline of Dubai Marina. Most of our days were spent relaxing at the hotel. The private beach and pool area are exactly what you dream of when you picture a Dubai getaway: soft sand, turquoise water, and plenty of space to just unwind. We also went for walks along the boardwalk right by the hotel, which was a lovely way to take in the views and the unique setting of the Palm.
The food experience was another highlight. On our first evening, we had dinner at Brunello, where we tucked into fresh salads, a creamy mushroom risotto, and sweets that rounded off the evening beautifully. The next morning, we tried the breakfast buffet, which honestly felt endless with so many options it was almost impossible to choose. The following night, we headed to Villamoré Beach Restaurant, a laid-back but stylish spot right by the water. We had croquettes, perfectly cooked fish and meat, and a refreshing fruit platter for dessert. The staff were incredible, helping us make the best choices and making the whole evening feel special. What really made our stay unforgettable was the service. Everyone at Kempinski went out of their way to make us feel welcome, creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that felt like a home away from home.
On our last morning, we even had breakfast brought up to the room and enjoyed it on the balcony with incredible views in the morning sun.Our time at Kempinski The Palm was all about slowing down, enjoying good food, and soaking in the sunshine. Combined with the ever-changing energy of Dubai, which always surprises us, it’s easy to see why we keep coming back again and again.
