The next part of our road trip was a 2.5 hours’ drive along the Adriatic Sea, going from Dubrovnik into Montenegro. Nothing was left to coincidence, so we had of course prepared some of our favourite snacks and – most importantly – made a perfect playlist for the way. It was a great and beautiful trip and I really recommend renting a car as it gives a lot of freedom to go where you want, when you want.
Our destination was The Chedi at Lustica Bay. A comparison between Dubrovnik and Lustica Bay is fun to make because they are very contrasting: On one side you have this old preserved town and on the other side you have a newly developed city, which is still some years away from being completely finished. Our days in The Chedi was a great experience and it was easy to completely relax without any kind of stress. The surroundings are beautiful with mountain landscape, the characteristic blue water and a cool marina in front of the hotel.
The newly opened hotel has everything you need with a great spa, delicious restaurants and perfect service from the staff. We spent our days there relaxing by the beach, taking some pictures and practising our drone-flying skills, which is always super fun. The project is super interesting, I mean, how many places do you just start building a new city? We cannot wait to return in some years and see how it has developed!
Before continuing our endless summer trip, we had an amazing lunch at restaurant The Spot, which was so delicious. We were not sure if we should get the dessert, but our waiter convinced us to try this chocolate dessert and OMG I think it was one of the best things I have tasted, yummy!
I am sure that this place will get better and better when developed further, so look out for this destination because I think it is going to be very popular in years to come.
