After an incredible week exploring Zanzibar, we transitioned to a place that feels like home—a city where we lived for nearly two years. I’m talking about Dubai, a dynamic destination we always enjoy returning to. As one of the world’s most convenient stopover hubs, Dubai offers a seamless blend of luxury, culture, and adventure.

We arrived in the early hours of the morning and checked into Kempinski The Boulevard, perfectly located in the heart of Dubai Downtown. With breathtaking views of iconic landmarks and direct access to Dubai Mall, the hotel is an ideal base for exploring both the immediate area and other parts of the city.

Dubai always has something exciting happening—whether you’re seeking stunning beaches, thrilling desert adventures, or world-class dining. We were thrilled to kick off our stopover in style.

After an overnight flight, a quick nap was just what we needed before heading out to explore. We took it easy on the first day, enjoying a leisurely stroll in the pleasant October weather—one of the best times to visit Dubai. Revisiting the neighborhood where we used to live, just 10 minutes from Downtown, brought back fond memories.

The next morning, rejuvenated after a great night’s sleep in our luxurious bed, we decided to start the day with a workout at the hotel’s state-of-the-art gym. Featuring the latest machines, weights, and even body composition analysis, the gym was impressive. However, the highlight for me was the spectacular view of the city, which made treadmill sessions surprisingly enjoyable. It’s undoubtedly one of the best hotel gyms we’ve experienced, and it set the tone for the day.

Post-workout, we indulged in Kempinski’s immaculate breakfast buffet. From fresh fruits and pastries to à la carte options and an egg station, everything was exquisite. Enjoying breakfast with splendid views of the Burj Khalifa was an unforgettable way to start the day.

Later in the morning, we relaxed by the stunning pool, reading and soaking up the good vibes with music in the background—a slice of pure bliss.

In the afternoon, we treated ourselves to afternoon tea in the Lobby Lounge, choosing a spot outdoors to enjoy the golden glow of the setting sun. Watching the Burj Khalifa shimmer in the soft light was the perfect backdrop for a delightful and tranquil experience.

As the evening arrived, we headed to the Dubai Fountain for its mesmerizing show. This is a must-see for any visitor and never fails to amaze us. On our way back to the hotel, we popped into Dubai Mall for a little shopping. The direct connection between the mall and Kempinski The Boulevard made this effortless and convenient.

The following morning, we repeated our winning routine: an energizing gym session, a decadent breakfast, and more moments of relaxation by the pool. Time flew by at The Boulevard, and before we knew it, it was time for our farewell lunch at La Brasserie. We savored a beautifully tender cod paired with a glass of champagne—a perfect ending to our stay.

The staff at Kempinski The Boulevard were exceptional, always attentive and thoughtful, making every moment special. We left with full hearts, already looking forward to our next visit to vibrant Dubai and this remarkable hotel.
