We have visited Lapland several times and yet we think the place is so magical that we always feel like coming back to create more memories.
This time, we visited Northern Lights Village Pyhä, the newest addition to the Northern Lights Village resorts in Lapland (until then, we only visited Saariselkä)
The resort is huge and located close to a ski resort and it offers so many different activities that make the days fly by fast because you have so many ways to have a great time. Activities such Husky Safari, Reindeer Safari, Aurora Hunting by snowmobile and just a few of the available options.
Since we have previously experienced the Husky and Reindeer Safari, we this time decided to try their Igloo Sauna and going on adventure in the beautiful landscape by Snowmobile during daytime – it is always so beautiful to drive over frozen lakes and seeing the amazing nature of Lapland.
We also had an Aurora Hunting schedule, however it it was too cloudy and snowy during our stay, so we decided on the other options instead. Unfortunately, that meant that we did not see the amazing Northern Lights this time, but luckily, we still carry with us a lot of amazing memories from our previous trip to Northern Light Village, when we saw the unique lights and had one of the most magical nights of our lives (see pictures).
After a full day of adventures, we tried their Igloo Sauna, and I must say it felt amazing to enjoy the nature outside and with being kept warm in first the jacuzzi and afterwards in the authentic sauna.
Our cabin was also something we will never forget. This time we chose to stay in a big cabin called Taiga Forest Cabin. Super spacious, two bedrooms, small kitchen, dining table, big living room with a TV and fireplace and the view to the forest, so beautiful and calming! Also, we had a big private sauna, so we could always get warm and relaxed following our activities and walking explorations around the area. Super cozy and the best choice! Lastly, it is worth to mention that we had chosen the full board option during our stay, which meant that every time we felt hungry, we simply walked to the restaurant and had the choice between an ever-changing menu of great options with delicious soups, freshly baked bread, mains and desserts – everything we need to refuel for our adventures.
Even though the weather was not optimal during our stay, we left Lapland with a new set of amazing memories of this wonderful place and of course with the feeling that we need to come back and experience the Northern Lights once again.
