Where to eat: The Munich Edition

 AD, Gastronomy,

We visited Munich just before Christmas, and it was so cozy to see the city beautifully decorated for the holiday season, especially while visiting all the Christmas markets. Munich has a huge Christmas market, and not even the rain or the crowds could ruin it for us—it was cozy and magical.

Besides that, we decided to visit a few restaurants in the city. Even though we only had two days, we found some great spots, and today I’m sharing them with you in case you’re planning a trip to Munich soon.

Florio Restaurant
The timeless elegance of la Dolce Vita. This restaurant offers classic Italian dishes inspired by the changing seasons, meant to be shared with good company. We had a super delicious lunch here, featuring dishes prepared with ingredients selected with the greatest respect for nature, on a menu created by Fulvio Pierangelini, the ‘Godfather of Italian cooking.’

Our favorites: Try the pumpkin ravioli with truffle—it’s absolutely delicious!

Breakfast at Mandarin Oriental Munich

Even if you’re not staying at the hotel, you can still enjoy this amazing breakfast setup. The Mandarin Oriental breakfast is served daily at Matsuhisa Munich, featuring an extensive breakfast buffet along with additional à la carte dishes. It’s the perfect way to start your day!

Heim Werk Munich

“When in Rome…” If you’re in Germany, you should, of course, try some authentic local German food—and that’s exactly what we did. Heim Werk is all about authenticity and sustainability. They focus on:Local suppliers, High-welfare meat, Natural products from sustainable agriculture, Genuine, freshly prepared cuisine—no convenience food or artificial flavors.

We enjoyed some delicious schnitzels and a mouthwatering salted caramel Schmarrn for dessert. Highly recommended, especially on a cold day when you’re craving some comforting food. So good!
